I've been a frontend developer for a long time, but React and Next.js came into my stack later than most things. Rather than working through tutorials, I decided to learn by building something I'd actually use: my own personal space on the web. This is it.
The challenge
I needed a place that felt like me — not a template or a theme. I also wanted to learn Next.js App Router properly, and tutorial projects don't do that. Building something you actually care about does.
The approach
Built incrementally, by hand, with deliberate decisions and no premature abstractions. Stack: Next.js App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Prisma, and Postgres. Minimal by design — I wanted the content to do the work.
The outcome
Live, evolving, and genuinely mine. It taught me more about React and Next.js than anything else I've tried — because the problems were real. It's also the place on the web that actually reflects how I think.
